This workshop brings together social psychologists interested in cognition and embodiment of social relations (e.g., communion, authority, equality, and market). Senior researchers and PhD students will present their work in talks and posters. We expect around 30 participants, about half of them from outside Portugal. The workshop will take in Lisbon on September 9 & 10, 2010.
The workshop follows an expert meeting that took place in the fall of 2008 in Arraiolos. Many of the participants of this last meeting will also take part this time.
The immediate occasion of the workshop is the end of the project “Cognitive Models of Intergroup Relations” (funded by FCT, PI is Rodrigo Brito). A part of the workshop is devoted to presentation (talks and posters) and discussion of the outcomes of this project. In addition, the topic will be covered from many more angles by the additional speakers. The meeting will be open, but we will ask for a small registration fee.
The list of participants (provisional, will be updated regularly)
Organizers of the workshop are Thomas Schubert, Cláudia Simão, Rodrigo Brito, and Sven Waldzus.
The workshop is funded by
and supported by Caixa Geral de Depósitos
